Funding Sources
While government contracts are an important source of funding, CITY Inc. has a robust and innovative fundraising program earning resources from private sources including individuals, philanthropic organizations, and businesses.
GRANTS
CITY Inc. dedicates seasoned resources on its grant writing efforts. Over the years, public and private grants have been instrumental for the acquisition of sports equipment and uniforms for the youth football and cheer teams that CITY Inc. supports.
ANNUAL FUND
The CITY Inc. annual fund is its primary organized effort to obtain gifts on a yearly basis to support, at least in part, general operations of this nonprofit organization. These gifts are critical for the implementation of CITY Inc.’s athletic, tutoring, mentoring, and performing arts programs as well as popular activities like the youth sports banquets and field trips.
ENDOWMENTS
An endowment is a donation of money or property made to a non-profit group, institution or individual consisting of investment funds or other property that may or may not have a stated purpose at the bequest of the donor. This type of gift would provide ongoing yearly support to CITY Inc., and the donation typically is allocated over multiple years for specific usage.
